ABOUT FA Trophy
The FA Trophy is a knockout cup competition for teams from the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth tiers of English football.
This is a competition primarily for semi-professional clubs with the final taking place at Wembley stadium. The FA Trophy gives clubs an opportunity not only to potentially book their place at the biggest stadium in the country but it also gives teams a chance to boost their finances.
The competition was founded in 1969 and continues to this day. Last edition of this competition saw 295 clubs take part.
